Easiest Yogurt Ever! Cold start, Everyday Yogurt (No Strain)

The easiest yogurt known to man! Super smooth or this can also be stirred to create a thick, luxurious runnier consistency. It doesn't need straining This method works best when using an existing yogurt culture rather than the first time you use a dehydrated starter sachet.

ingredients:


  • 1 Litre  Full Fat Organic Room Temperature UHT Milk
  • 1 Tbsp Existing Live Yogurt

Preparation
  1. Pour Milk into yogurt pots
  2. Set the steam function on normal and set to 1 minute for whole milk and 2 for jersey then NPR
  3. Add a good 1/2 teaspoon of starter per pot (125-180 ml size)
  4. Use a mini-whisk or fork to gently stir until the starter is fully combined. Note yogurt starter can sink and lurk, particularly if it's cold from the fridge so double check again it's fully combined.
  5. Add lids
  6. Place pots in instant pot (directly on the base, no water)
  7. Close valve
  8. Press yogurt function and set for 7 hours
  9. Transfer to fridge and allow to cool for at least 3 hours but ideally overnight
